Roberto Abbado, one of the world’s most esteemed orchestral and opera conductors, returns to the Jacobs School’s Summer Music series. His crisp, dramatic music making, instinctive lyricism, and evocative command of varied composers and styles, coupled with superb communicative skills, have made him a favorite among musicians and the public alike. The orchestra will be led by Jacobs Professor Jorja Fleezanis, formerly concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra.
